A few years back Margaret's black cat, Harvey Bear, decided to leave home without warning or giving notice.

Margaret was distraught and combed the area in search [ having in the process enrolled half the neighbour hood].

Garages were emptied and the possey of volunteers were on high alert. Many days passed and no cat. Margaret reluctantly feared the worse.

A week later I received a jubilant call announcing the return of an unscathed Harvey Bear. During a visit a few days later, I with great tact proclaimed that the black cat curled up on her favourite chair was not Harvey Bear.

She was adamant that  I was wrong. With an all knowing superior look on her face declared that one thing she knew was her cats !!!

Conclusion : many days later, accompanied with a myriad of excuses, she finally accepted defeat. The imposter quite happily settled into his new abode, and has remained in residence ever since.

Harvey Bear, since his arrival, brought immense joy to his adopted owner and all that got to know him.
